The Basket Road
Gaiadra's main throughroad, from Tidalrest to Groveller's Pass — named for the food baskets it began as.
The Basket Road is the main throughroad of Gaiadra, running the long miles between Tidalrest and Groveller’s Pass. Most of what travels it is food — the produce of farms and villages bound for markets and ships — and that is how it earned its name: before it was a road at all, it was simply villagers carrying food from village to village in baskets, each handing off to the next, until the baskets reached Tidalrest and the food sailed out to the rest of Terrindral. Wagons and wheel-ruts have long since replaced the baskets, but the road still does what it has always done: it feeds the world beyond Gaiadra.
