Leona
A woman of the Creshers' caravan who loved, and carried what that love cost her.
Leona travels with the Creshers, one of the faces Estaria comes to know on the long road toward the forest. She is warm and clear-eyed in a way the cult’s harder members are not — a woman who has loved, and lost, and gone on carrying both.
Her story is bound up with Orin’s and with the quiet ache that runs beneath the caravan’s certainties. Where the cult speaks of duty, Leona remembers people. That memory is its own kind of grief, and its own kind of honesty.
